Overview

Field Supervisor – Tin Man

 

Overview
The Field Supervisor directly manages the installation and service teams within their department. They ensure all installations are properly staged with the required equipment and materials, oversee the full sales‑to‑install process, and personally sell jobs for the installation team to complete. The Field Supervisor is also responsible for the technical proficiency of the entire department and serves as the primary point of contact for field technicians regarding technical questions, service system processes, and scheduling.
This role reports to the General Manager.

Time Allocation
Field Supervisors are expected to be in the field 50–75% of the time.

 

Install Management & Coordination – ~25% (7am–9am)
•  Coordinate installations and manage the sales‑to‑install workflow
•  Participate in daily huddles
•  Conduct 1:1s with installers
•  Lead or participate in team meetings

 

Department Enablement – 25–50%
•  Perform ride‑alongs and provide service system training
•  Deliver on‑the‑job technical training

 

Interviews & Selling – 25–50%
•  Conduct interviews
•  Sell jobs for the installation team

 

Key Responsibilities
•  Achieve daily revenue and budget targets for the team
•  Oversee the entire sales and installation process, from lead generation through project completion
•  Conduct sales for the department
•  Coordinate work schedules, materials, and installation teams to meet deadlines
•  Provide on‑site supervision and ensure all projects meet quality standards
•  Train field staff and apprentices in technical skills, efficiency, safety, and best practices
•  Collaborate with service technicians to generate leads for sales and install teams
•  Mentor and develop technicians
•  Participate in the daily huddle
•  Participate in or lead service system meetings
•  Lead at least one technical training session per month
•  Serve as the first point of contact for service technicians, escalating issues to the Service Manager as needed
•  Maintain strong communication with sales and service teams to drive performance
•  Assist with onboarding, including ServiceTitan training, service system training, and technical assessments

 

Role Fit
The Field Supervisor works closely with the General Manager on technician performance, technical development, equipment and material decisions, and process improvement initiatives.
